Welcome to the website of Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club. Lyall
Bay Surf Life Saving Club was formed on 15th August 1910 and was
the first club in NZ to patrol with a reel and line in
December 1910.
Lyall Bay is the most Southern Surf Life Saving Club in the
North Island of New Zealand about 10 minute drive from Wellington
CBD.
Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club patrol Lyall Bay Beach from
November through to March; conducting patrols on both Saturdays and
Sundays.
We have a large active membership of junior (7-13 years) and
senior members (14 years +) and offer competitive training squads
for surf sports and general fitness.
Whether you are interested in sport, lifeguarding, meeting new
people or you have moved to Wellington and you just want a place to
train and store you gear - Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club is
waiting for you!
