As part of Shaun Quincey’s preparation for rowing solo from Australia to New Zealand in November, he is going to complete the world record for rowing 1,000,000 meters on a stationary rowing machine (concept 2). Shaun is planning on rowing the 1,000,000 over five days (23-27 September 2009).

Rowathon

The rowathon was on Friday 18th September from 3-8pm at Wellington International Airport, thank you to everyone who dropped past and supported us.

This event required a tremendous commitment from our rowers who are not only continuing to prepare over the coming month to have the fitness to complete this event, but also helped to raise over $3000 in donations for our gear maintenance and new building plans.

By showing your support to the Rowathon, you will be giving support to our Club and helping us provide a better service for the community.

We would like to thank Wellington International Airport Limited for allowing us to use their facility for our cause.
