A dramatic end to the Ocean Athletes with the Tsunami forcing cancellation of the last day of events. Our Lyall Bay team was awarded top club trophy based on the first 3 days and we had expected more medals on the last day. Congratulations to all those who competed - what a great team you were. Main Beach, Mount Maunganui

Midday Thursday 25th -Sunday 28 February 2010.

Note that the Ocean Athletes have now been extended to 3 1/2 days, starting at 12noon on the Thursday afternoon.

The club van will leave on Wednesday early afternoon and return from the Mt on the Sunday late afternoon/evening. Accommodation has been booked at the Pacific Coast Backpackers from Wed - Sat nights. All parents who are at the Mt and have children staying at the Lodge will be expected to help with cooking and other duties on a rostered basis.

Helen Duding is coordinating the travel and accommodation arrangements and costs wil be issued shortly. After 8th February all members who have indicated they are going and staying in the Lodge or require transport willl be charged the entry fee and any other appropriate costs.
