The Lyall Bay club offers training sessions for those members who wish to compete in local or national events. See the 'Senior Surf training' page on this website for details of session times.
In the 2008-09 season the Lyall bay club achieved the following Surf Sports results:
- 1st Wellington District - WhiteHorse Trophy
- 1st NZ Swim Championships (and again in 2008-09)
- 5th Ocean Athletes (NZ U14 championships)
- 10th NZ Surf life saving Nationals
