Our Volunteer Lifeguarding Services

Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club is proud to help keep our community safe at Lyall Bay beach through our volunteer lifeguard patrols.

We patrol on weekends between 12noon and 6pm over the summer period (late-November to early-March).

Over the past ten years, we have provided over 21,000 hours of volunteer support and been involved in over 65 rescues and 39 serious first aid incidents.

Summer Holiday Lifeguard Patrols

During the summer school holidays, SLSNZ and Wellington City Council also provide additional lifeguard patrols during the weekdays to keep our beach safe all days of the week.
