Lyall Bay Surf & Life Saving Club
Welcome to the Lyall Bay Surf & Life Saving Club.We are the first surf life saving club to patrol in NZ and will celebrate our Centenary in 2010.

Lyall Bay is on the south coast of Wellington city, next to the airport and we patrol Lyall Bay beach on Saturday and Sunday afternoons throughout the summer. We have a large active membership of junior surf (7 - 13 years) and senior (14 years+) members and offer a competitive training squad for Surf Sports.

50 Years Service

We recently celebrated 7 members receiving their 50 Year Badges from Surf Life Saving New Zealand. This was profiled in the Cook Strait News on Wednesday 1st July 2009.

Centenary Youth Advisers

Surf Life Saving New Zealand are looking for a few younger members for input into some of the Centenary Activities they are planning for the summer of 2010-2011. Approximate age range is 18-25 years but if you are younger or older and have a passion for this then you are welcome to be involved.
