Welcome to the Lyall Bay Surf & Life Saving Club.We are the first surf life saving club to patrol in NZ and will celebrate our Centenary in 2010.

Lyall Bay is on the south coast of Wellington city, next to the airport and we patrol Lyall Bay beach on Saturday and Sunday afternoons throughout the summer. We have a large active membership of junior surf (7 - 13 years) and senior (14 years+) members and offer a competitive training squad for Surf Sports.

Wellington Champs

The Wellington Champs for both senior and junior competitors is being held this Sunday 7th February at Paekakariki. The senior events start at 9.30am (note the junior events start at 9am). Please be at the beach by 8.45am. This is the last local carnival and we need all senior members to attend so the club can retain the Whitehorse Trophy. There are NO boat & canoe events at these champs  See here for the programme and here for the car parking guide. Gear loading will take place at 5pm on Saturday

Junior Surf

The Wellington Junior Champs will be held on Sunday 7th February at Paekakariki The junior surf events start at 9.00am -please report by 8.15am. See here for the programme and here for the car parking guide can be found here. There will be NO Junior surf session at Lyall Bay this Sunday.

The Oceans Athletes programme and information is now available on the NZ website. The club does the entries and these close on 8th February. This is the last date for confirming or changing any travel or accommodaiton arrangements.
